INRAE's Research Division for Mathematics and Digital Technologies (MathNum) develops research in applied mathematics, statistics, bioinformatics, artificial intelligence, information technology and robotics.

Its 14 labs conduct theoretical, methodological and applied research. They are deeply involved in interdisciplinary collaborations with teams from other INRAE departments, universities and research partners, thus dealing with a large diversity of data and modelling research arising from microbiology, systems biology, genetics, population dynamics, and more generally with food, agriculture and environment sciences.
